  32.           The A2Z of WordPerfect is a menu-driven application wholly
  33.           written in WordPerfect's native macro language. It provides an
  34.           alternative to the normal function key and mouse driven menu
  35.           structures. Each of WordPerfect's features can be accessed by the
  36.           mnemonic key associated with the initial letter of the feature
  37.           you require and the Alt key. So, if you wanted to insert a footer
  38.           into a document you would press [Alt] + F and then press the
  39.           number corresponding to footers on the menu displayed.

  41.           The A2Z of WordPerfect is ideal for beginners and experienced
  42.           users alike. Approximately 90% of features are only two
  43.           keystrokes away. This eliminates the need to remember the myriad
  44.           of keystrokes to get to a certain feature.

  46.           The A2Z of WordPerfect also adds new features (see MANUAL.WP or 
  47.           README2.TXT for details) to increase productivity and generally 
  48.           make life easier for the avid (or not so avid) WordPerfect user.

  85.           The A2Z of WordPerfect is not free! You may try it out at no
  86.           charge for an initial trial period of 30 days, to determine if
  87.           it fits your needs. If you continue to use the A2Z of WordPerfect
  88.           after the initial trial period you must register. This method of
  89.           software distribution is known as Shareware.
  90.           
  91.           This is a fully functional version of the A2Z of WordPerfect. We
  92.           encourage you to freely copy and distribute this version of A2Z
  93.           provided that no fee is charged and the distribution files are
  94.           distributed in their original forms.

  96.           The registration fee for a single copy of A2Z is £25 (pounds
  97.           sterling) + shipping and handling costs.

  99.           Payment of the single-copy registration fee entitles you to the
  100.           following benefits:

  102.                *    A disk with the current version of the A2Z of
  103.                     WordPerfect with the "Unregistered Version" notice and
  104.                     Shareware screens removed.

  108.                *    The advanced table editing macros

  110.                *    The pamphlet or booklet macros, which convert a normal 
  111.                     A4 or 8.5*11 document into a pamphlet or booklet (see

  114.                *    The character set macros. Choose a WordPerfect       
  115.                     character from a set of "WYSIWYG" menus.

  117.                *    Address and Ideas Master for WordPerfect. Insert an
  118.                     address or a series of ideas into the present document
  119.                     based on one or more one word statements. You will   
  120.                     never have to search around for that elusive address 
  121.                     ever again.

  123.                *    Free support (by electronic mail or by postal mail) for
  124.                     the first 90 days after payment of the registration  
  125.                     fee, consisting of answering questions and fixing any
  126.                     reproducible program error(s) that interfere(s) with 
  127.                     the intended use of the program as outlined in this
  128.                     documentation. The author may choose not to fix      
  129.                     problems related to a special hardware and/or software
  130.                     configuration and will then arrange for a refund of the
  131.                     registration fee, if the problem is reported within 90
  132.                     days of payment. The author makes no other warranties,

  142.           a commercial (business, corporate, government, educational, or
  143.           other institutional) environment beyond the initial evaluation
  144.           or on more than one computer.

  146.           There are no quantity discounts available for A2Z, because it
  147.           does not make sense to purchase a large number of single copy PC
  148.           licences. However, site licences for installing A2Z on multiple
  149.           computers are available starting at 2 PCs. Please refer to the

  155.                payment must be done in pounds sterling. If you are based

  314.           WordPerfect's merge feature can be quite complex involving
  315.           many keystrokes even when creating simple merge files. Mistakes
  316.           can be easily made when creating these files and a lot of points
  317.           need to be taken into account. For example, field names have to
  318.           be stated at the beginning of a secondary merge file (a list of
  319.           names and addresses) and these have to correspond exactly to
  320.           merge codes in a primary file (a letter for example). Also, if
  321.           several people are working on different secondary files that have
  322.           to adhere to the same format when merged into a primary file,
  323.           mistakes can be easily made (imagine one field left blank
  324.           withno{END FIELD} code inserted to signify that it is blank). The
  325.           EZMerge macros aim to eliminate mistakes when creating primary
  326.           and secondary files by introducing a menu driven merge interface.
